Our cashews are sourced directly from the coastal and southern regions of Tanzania — one of Africa’s largest cashew-producing countries — where optimal tropical microclimates, predictable rainy seasons, and nutrient-dense soils yield large, naturally sweet kernels.

How they are grown

Tanzanian cashews are cultivated by experienced smallholder farmers on regional family orchards. The trees mature under natural sunlight, producing vibrant red and yellow cashew apples with the raw, shell-protected nut developing externally at the base of the fruit.

The sourcing mechanics

How they are processed

Processing a cashew requires strict operational calibration to crack the durable outer shell safely without damaging the kernel inside. Our partner facilities utilize modern steam-conditioning, automated calibration, mechanical shelling, and precise electronic grading to cleanly remove the outer husk and fine inner peel.

Why processing at origin matters

Traditional supply chains ship heavy, unhusked raw nuts thousands of miles to third-party hubs, exposing the product to ambient ocean moisture and staleness. Processing directly at the agricultural origin locks in peak freshness immediately after harvest, cuts unnecessary transit timelines, and ensures the high-value manufacturing margins stay within the local Tanzanian community.
