About Savanna Gold
Our story
Savanna Gold began with two Tanzanian immigrants living in the United States who wanted to build a meaningful economic bridge back to their home country. Looking closely at the agricultural sector, they recognized a profound structural flaw in the global cashew trade: local smallholder farmers were doing the hard work of cultivation but capturing very little of the final value, while international buyers were left entirely in the dark regarding product origin and quality. They realized that by introducing advanced processing directly at the source, they could simultaneously provide U.S. buyers with an efficient, transparent supply chain and ensure that Tanzanian farmers are paid fairly. Savanna Gold was founded to replace distant intermediaries with a direct pipeline that honors the people who grow the crop.
